Innovet is a pet supply company that has taken the plunge into CBD and hemp products for dogs, cats, and horses. Their CBD oil is well packaged, in a blue glass bottle with dropper top. As in CBD products for humans, Innovet’s pet CBD, or PurCBD, is available in an array of strengths, from 125 mg per 30 ml, all the way up to 1500 mg per 30 ml. Most small animal owners will find the 125 mg strength, or the Level 1 oil, perfectly sufficient.
The oil is very lightly scented, which is quite nice for giving to pets. Both dogs and cats have strong senses of smell, and often refuse to take strong-smelling CBD extracts. PurCBD is translucent yellow, very thin and easy to mix into wet foods. The oil base is organic hemp oil, with organic hemp extract added to reach the given strength. Innovet recommends dosing PurCBD at one drop per five pounds of pet.

INNOVET PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY CBD AND HEMP FOR PETS
The Innovet company started in 2005 in Santa Barbara, California. By 2016, Innovet entered the CBD world, becoming one of the first companies to make CBD products especially for pets. Their line of products include hemp treats, CBD oil, hemp pellets for horses, and a hemp balm for dogs with skin conditions.
Our reviewer’s dogs and a cat have been on a regimen of CBD for some months. Changing to Innovet PurCBD caused no negative effects in any of the animals. They all maintained the gains they’d made using other CBD products. While the effects of aging cannot be totally reversed, CBD has made a huge impact for the elderly cat. CBD has returned her to her rightful place, ruling over the entire household as its queen. A range of issues previously plagued the dogs, from anxiety to a bad back, as well as the effects of aging.
Our reviewer’s pets greeted PurCBD with excitement and joy each morning, as they were excited to enjoy their special treats that were soaked in the oil. We did notice that this CBD oil is very thin. This makes it easy to mix PurCBD into wet food for cranky older cats but a bit tricky to soak into dog treats. The lack of strong flavor makes it relatively easy to convince a dog to lick PurCBD right off your fingers, however.
We appreciate Innovet’s attention to detail and quality when it comes to pet products. Third-party lab results for PurCBD are available right on the product page, showing that this supplement has undetectable levels of THC (very important for pet CBD products) and a broad spectrum of cannabinoids.
